Educational workshops and creative educational courses for primary and secondary school pupils and teachers

Our school tours are designed to introduce primary and secondary school pupils to the history of the castle in a unique and creative way. The tour with our specialised guides is offered at the special rate of € 3.00 per pupil (one accompanying person free of charge with every 15 students).

To make the experience even more unique, in addition to the guided tour lasting approximately 1 hour, pupils can participate in one of our play and educational workshops (duration approximately 1 hour).

    Objectives

The main objective of our educational programmes is to create tools that are within the reach of the youngest children and are able to entertain them by educating them, thus generating both enthusiasm and the lasting memory of an interesting experience, of which they will more easily remember the contents and be stimulated to share the positive experience with others.

This is the cardinal principle of Edutainment, a form of entertainment aimed at both educating and entertaining, which aims to produce educational content through play, with interactive, multimedia methods and using languages that the youngest children can perceive as friendly and 'welcoming'.

Our educational programmes therefore focus on the educational value of discovery, of sharing observations, impressions and emotions.

Integrated guided tour-workshop programmes

Conquering the castle

Total duration 2:30h approx.

Recommended age 4-10 years

The actual guided tour will be structured as a treasure hunt with themed team games, interspersed with explanations of the rooms and the history of the castle.

This will be followed by a handicraft workshop in which the children will discuss the values that are important to them, their class and their living in a social group, and, drawing on the knowledge gained during the visit, they will create the 'Great Coat of Arms' of their class, which they can take away and hang up.

When creating the coat of arms, pupils will be able to experiment with different artistic techniques: free drawing, drawing with masks, painting, wax paints, finger painting, sponging, mosaic with paper, fabric and recycled materials.

At the end of the experience, each pupil will be given the illustrated mini-guide "Giocastello" with games and curiosities about the Ducal Castle, and the castle bookmark.
